Through this series, I am exploring my memories—whether happy or unhappy, traumatic or merely anecdotal—and bringing them to life on my canvas. I love infusing a surreal dimension, capturing how my memory often distorts or transforms these recollections. My aim is to convey the state of mind I experienced at the time, while reflecting on them through the lens of my present self.

“The Gelato Regulation”
Oil painting on canvas
100×100 cm
November 2025

During summer vacation when I was a kid, my mother had that rule about gelato: I could only eat one that matched the colour of my clothes. Problem was that the one I was craving most was chocolate, and my wardrobe consisted only of sorbet shades.

“Marta pooped in the garden”
Oil painting on canvas
100×100 cm
March 2025

Self-portrait based on a fuzzy memory of playing with the neighbour’s daughter Marta at our vacation house, until she took a break to poop in the garden.

“27.12.2009”
100×100 cm
Oil painting on canvas
January 2025.

This self-portrait recalls the morning of my 18th birthday, when I woke up with the worst hangover of my life, still heavily intoxicated, and had to endure the guests my mom invited to celebrate—despite me explicitly asking her not to.

“The cat is dead, I put her next to the radiator”

Oil painting on canvas
December 2024.

This self-portrait depicts an event from early 2020, when my childhood cat passed away, and my mom chose to keep her body in the kitchen for a few days.
