I am exploring my memories—whether happy or unhappy, traumatic or merely anecdotal—and bringing them to life on my canvas. I love infusing a surreal dimension, capturing how my memory often distorts or transforms these recollections. My aim is to convey the state of mind I experienced at the time, while reflecting on them through the lens of my present self.

“The cat is dead, I put her next to the radiator”
December 2024.

This self-portrait depicts an event from early 2020, when my childhood cat passed away, and my mom chose to keep her body in the kitchen for a few days.

“27.12.2009”
January 2025.

This self-portrait recalls the morning of my 18th birthday, when I woke up with the worst hangover of my life, still heavily intoxicated, and had to endure the guests my mom invited to celebrate—despite me explicitly asking her not to.

“Marta pooped in the garden”
February 2025.

This self-portrait captures a blurred memory from when I was about six years old. A young neighbor, who had been playing with me in the pool, suddenly decided to poop in the garden of our vacation house in Italy.
